Hometown favorite Andy
Murray dispatched Canadian Vasek Pospisil in straight sets, 6-4, 7-5, 6-4 to
set up a semifinal duel with Roger Federer in the 2015 Wimbledon tennis
championships.
It would be Murray’s sixth
appearance in the final four at Wimbledon following his victory over Pospisil
in two hours and 13 minutes.
Two rain delays that saw
the roof on center court being closed seemed to have gotten on Murray’s nerves
but not enough for the Canadian to gain any momentum except in the closely
fought second set.
“I felt I played some good
stuff. He served extremely well for periods. I tried to change my return
position at the end of the second set to see the returns better,” said Murray. –End-
