A student says she has become the victim of a bizarre stalking campaign in which a mystery person is leaving dozens of decapitated rubber ducks in her room.

Abbie Coombs, 19, claims someone has been sneaking into her bedroom when she is out and leaving the ducks—often brutally defaced.

They have turned up in her shower, fridge, jewellery box and even under her bedsheets.

Abbie, who has not reported the campaign to police, says it began only on her second day as a law student at Cambridge University.

She returned to her bedroom to find ducks dotted around her room with messages written on them, including 'DUCK ROCK', 'LOVE A DUCK' and 'DONALD.'

Abbie has also received a package with a plastic case containing a yellow soap in the shape of a duck.

The part-time model also claims during term time she came back from the library at 1am to find her room pitch black with a creepy circle of candles and ducks on her floor.

In the middle was a star drawn in brown sauce underneath a piece of her chicken breast which had 'DUCK' written on it.

Every couple of weeks Abbie began receiving a new duck, each one slightly creepier than the last, she says.

She found a headless duck under her bed sheets after returning from the library at 12.30pm. Abbie, who has found 24 ducks so far, said: "Under my sheets was the body of a duck without a head and it was covered in red nail polish to look like it was bleeding. It was really creepy."
