A Florida woman held
hostage by her boyfriend escaped harm along with her two children by ordering
pizza online and asking for police assistance via the customers’ feedback
section.
CNN reported that while Cheryl Treadway could not directly call 911 as she was being held at knifepoint by the hostage-taker, she slipped a distress plea on her online order to Pizza Hut.
"Under the comments
section, there was a message asking them to send help and call 911 as they were
being held hostage," said the sheriff’s office.
“We’ve never seen that
before,” said restaurant manager Candy Hamilton. “I’ve been here 28 years and
never, never seen nothing like that come through.”
The boyfriend, Ethan
Nickerson, 26, eventually surrendered after releasing Treadway. -end-
