Time
to brush up on the works of Juan Luna, Fernando Amorsolo and other
world-class Filipino artists.
The National Museum in Manila announced today in its Facebook
account that it would extend until the end of June its free admission to the
country’s premier repository of works of art, especially paintings.
The
museum waived admission fees last May in celebration of National Heritage
Month, and decided to extend it for the whole of June “due to the wonderful
response from our museum audience.”
“To
celebrate both Independence Day and National Hero Jose Rizal’s birth
anniversary this month, the National Museum is happy to announce that it is
able to make admission free to all its museum facilities throughout June,” it
said.
Located
on P. Buros Drive in Ermita, Manila, the National Museum is open from Tuesdays
to Sundays from 10 o’clock in the morning to 5 o’clock in
the afternoon. -end-
